The How:

A sustainable program that will

fuel your company's growth

An Overview of The How

HOW IT DOES NOT WORK

This is not a one-time seminar that waves a magic wand and your life and business are purportedly changed forever.

HOW IT DOES WORK

The How is a series of MBA-level training sessions designed specifically to provide the attendees with practical, actionable management tools that they can immediately put to use in the workplace and in their personal lives on a continuing, sustainable basis.

The How consists of universally applicable management techniques (any business, any person) generally not taught in business schools.

TOOL EXAMPLE

Never leave a meeting without all parties knowing WHO will do WHAT by WHEN.

TOOL EXAMPLE EFFECTS

Deadlines are established, leading to projects completed in a more timely manner (efficiency).  Results?  1) More projects completed in a given period; 2) Clear expectations set; 3) Accountability put into play; 4) Teamwork improved.

OUTLINE (customizable to your specific needs)

  • Up to 16 hours of analysis of your business (includes the Business Health Test)

  • Up to 47 hours of direct employee training, including

    • 3 one-hour all employee meetings (initial, 3 months, 6 months)

    •  Up to 44 hours of management training, spread out over 22 weeks

  • Identification of Core Values and Principles (CVPs) applicable to your business

  • Classes are composed of up to 15 management personnel.

  • Classes have two main components:

  1. Introduction and discussion of new, practical, actionable management tools that align employee actions with the CVPs.  “Homework” is to put into action the tools learned that week.

  2. Discussion of real life examples in the workplace of how “homework” was applied by management in their departments and the results.

Why The How Works

Usually businesses spend a considerable amount of time on training their employees on the technical product and operational aspects of their jobs. After all, if a customer service rep doesn't understand the products they're selling or servicing, customers will get frustrated. Makes sense to train.

Unfortunately, those same companies fail to understand that they're dealing with humans, not machines. They mistakenly assume that all humans understand how to effectively communicate, not recognizing that very few humans have ever been trained on the technical aspects of communication. They mistakenly equate an ability to talk with an ability to effectively communicate.

The How gives humans specific tools to use in a practical manner every day in order to make sure communication is effective, ensures all parties involved in the discussion have a mutual understanding at the end, and doesn't waste valuable time. Time truly is money (i.e., profit). If more efficiency is driven into daily activities, less time is needed to complete tasks, meaning the same number of employees can accomplish more, directly improving profit.

In a practical business sense and more broadly, effective communication involves metrics, clearly defined goals, job descriptions, evaluations tied to job descriptions, employee handbooks, deadlines, meetings with purpose, and more. The How addresses all of these items to create a culture that not only inherently creates efficiency and engages employees happily, but allows the business to achieve its full potential (i.e., profit).

Guaranteed Results

After our training and your corresponding implementation of it, if your business doesn't see improved productivity or improved profits or happier employees based on agreed-to documentable metrics, we'll refund the entire cost of the training.
